    nice idea :smashin:

the log and flames give it a really nice effect.

might just be my monitor but i think the log is more in focus than the marshmallows and it might have been better the other way round

Thanks for the tip; I tried to focus on the pink marshmallow that happened to be the same distance from the camera as the burning stick. Although this looks like its taken over a roaring fire its actually just a few twigs In a flower pot sitting on our garden bench!

Hopefully I will get away with the “soft” focusing this month :D

Exif is missing, you can email the original to simes35 @ hotmail.com if that's easier.

    Yummm.

nice contrast in the image and seeing as you are defining soft marshmallows, I think them being slightly out of focus helps your cause.:)

Agree with above - nice shot, lovely colours, soft subject, but the focus is just off a tad, being on the embers not the marshmallows. Nearly nearly!

Edit: Actually, just looked at it again. You've got the focus on the dripping marshmallow on the embers spot on. The very shallow depth of field makes you think both marshmallows are out of focus though. If you were to try it again, I'd suggest a smaller aperture to get a longer depth of field.

    Zone,

The email was sent to you at 15.06 Sunday, its not bounced back so I guess it’s down to the file size (3.19mb).

I have now taken the original image and just compressed the file to under 200kb with the exif data intact, obviously being compressed this is no longer a truly original image but hopefully this is OK. The image has been emailed again and I have also placed it on one of my websites: http://www.4netdesign.co.uk/m-mallow.htm just in case.

If all else fails I can burn the photo to disc and post it, if you would like to pm me an address.

    Thanks

    Lee

Excellent idea but it is a shame that the marshmellows are out of focus and the flames aren't quite strong enough to hold the image together. But certainly on-theme.
