Thought I'd try something a bit different....
I used a little Maplin light tent to keep the light diffused and shot this with a Sigma 70-300 APO on macro. Processing was limited to cloning out a raspberry stain from the background:), a slight crop and use of noiseware to soften the image slightly. I shot at f22  to keep most of the fruit in focus... but still allowing those in the background to have soft edges.
    Comments (as always) welcome

(Off to eat my 'subject' now :D )

Lovely, clean and crisp macro shot. I'd have been tempted to squish a few of the berries just to emphasise the softness of the fruit. But a top entry all the same,

Sorry about that :) If it's any consolation a couple of my early thoughts had already gone so I decided to bite the bullet early. How would you have done it though?

    This make me hungry :)

Excellent photo, love the colours, do you remember what your "light tent" is called at maplins? I did a search but nothing came up. I think the clean background really helps this shot and I'd like to do the same.

The light tent is called a 'portable soft lighting studio'. Probably easier to use their stock code 'A03BL' though.
The background cloth that comes with it is grey on one side & blue on the other (reversible) but it's also a bit reflective and its weave is a bit too prominent in a macro pic My background was just a piece of A4 copier paper :D

Really like this one, was similar to what I was going to do. Except as said by electrolyte, I would have squished a few of the berries.

Hmm well I think I will have to ask a few friends and teachers for some ideas at school now.

    Lovely and colourful.

And my favourite fruit - blackberries. Yum Yum

Love the white background really brings out the colours of the berries.

And def on theme. Well don.
