    I thought that seeing as people were rushing in with entries i'll do the same:smashin:
    cropped and added a bit of lens blur in CS2

    Canon 30D
    Sigma 28-105mm
    Tv (shutter speed) 1/13
    Av 5.6
    ISO 400
    focal lenght 28.0mm
    white balance auto

    Soft Focus

    Like the way you've left just one 'soft' sharp :confused: and
    all the different fonts.
    Interesting take on the theme.

    I like the concept but for me it looks too artificial. I can see a hard edge to the lens blur filter you used - about an inch above and to the left of the in focus 'S'.

    Wouldn't it have been possible to take this shot 'properly' - by that I mean controlling the DOF rather than using a PP filter to replicate the effect?

    Can't fault the idea though :)

    You could have picked one of the softer looking fonts for the focus though;)

    It's a lovely idea, but it's really let down by your implementaion of the blur. The hard edge just jars! Sorry :(

    This is an excellent idea mate. It almost works but the lens blur does look a bit false. Shame, because if you had taken this at 105mm at f5.6 you may well have achieved this in camera with a better looking blur.
