Do you think there is such a thing?

About 8 weeks ago I had arranged to play golf with some mates, first time in about 5 years. Then a couple of days before I broke my big toe so head to cancel.

Then my son has been saving up for some new boots for rugby for ages £150, ordered last Saturday. Was dead excited for them coming as he had a game Tuesday night. The boots didn't show so had to wear his old boot's, no big deal. He then broke his ankle in the game. He has played rugby since he was 6, now 14 and never been injured. Then the boots showed up the morning after. So 8 weeks in pot then a few weeks to recover, and his new boots sat looking at him.

You should be asking if there's such a thing as it always comes in threes? ;)

Daughter just had 3weeks half term, had one day back and school and is now off sick on her 2nd day and on her birthday.
Could have beeb sick any time in the holidays but no, 2nd day back and on her bday, and on top of that I have a job centre appointment which I never used too and now she has to come.

Sod law exists, only sodding law sometimes

Of course it exists, it is one of the fundamental laws of the Universe. And every time you come across it, you know the World is functioning as it should.

Of course, its one of those things that you can't actually prove. Quite simply because if you try and prove Sod's Law, then the very thing you are trying to prove will kick in an disprove itself. That's the way it works.

Our Miele vacuum went kaput on wednesday (12th)
Got a local repair man to look at it thinking it may just be something minor like something stuck.
He called yesterday (14th) to say the motors buggered and also the mechanics that lock the upright bit in place is faulty too. He estimated costs using Miele repair centre to be around £180
Leave it says I, as am sure it's still under guarantee.
Wifey comes home and eventually finds the guarantee which covered it for 2 years - Purchase date 11th April 2014

Incidently - washing machine gave up the ghost same day.
But it is 8 years old.

Worried about that "coming in 3's" thingie now :(

Miele being Miele, they may fix it anyway - try contacting them and asking.

Actually just got off the phone from them and looks like they are going to fix it.
Had a bit of to and fro-ing about it though, but in the end they said they'd send a box for collection.
I'm not counting my chickens yet though. I'll not pop the champagne until it's fully sorted out and returned, charge free.

Decided to treat myself to a 'lie on the sofa in my pyjamas watching stuff on Kodi all day' day.

All is looking good after 45 minutes and then the window cleaner arrives.

    Sod's law.

So now I am having a 'lie on the sofa in yesterday's clothes watching stuff on Kodi all day' day instead.

    Not happy.

Prior to contacting Miele I did a bit of googling to see what people thought about them and found they are almost universally slated by customers on TrustPilot:
Miele is rated "Bad" with 2.8 / 10 on Trustpilot

Most complaints were from the US though there were several UK ones.
Still - So far so good as far as I'm concerned - fingers crossed.

That's frankly bizarre - their entire ethos and the way they run the company is centered on customer service and long lasting appliances. They have however introduced some cheaper hoovers etc recently which probably can't really stand up to that, so who knows..!
