I bought myself and Iphone but that won't be here until January. Should have saints row coming and other exciting things such as a shirt for work etc.

Mum is getting an ipad today from us boys so that should keep me busy "setting it up" for her :D

A wheelstand pro off of the missus and a few other bits. My dad sent me some turtle beach gaming headphones from the US where he lives, which will be great for my online gaming sessions. Saints Row the Third is also sitting here waiting to be played. All in all I've done well.

Wiz - will Pollyanna be there? She's worth the admission price alone.:love:

Socks, underwear, 4 pairs of PJ's from various family members!!!

I recently bought an Apple Airport Express to stream iTunes / Spotify to my amp, so my missus got me a set of Grado headphones for some late night listening.

Well pleased! Been 'helping' my son play Mario 3DS and MarioKart 7;)

This Turtle Beach headset I've got is great. After playing a bit of BF3 earlier I'm pretty sure they will give me hearing loss. Awesome!

how does this work then chief?

I pay for spotify so this may avoid the £££ needed for a sonos rig.

I have a macbook and an iphone 4s (soon). I chop and change music all the time so have been looking at a way to play music on my amp wirelessly without huge investment....

The Airport Express has a 3.5mm optical jack. Plug the AE into a power socket near your amp and run an optical cable from it to the amp.

Use the Airport Utility to set it up on your mac, and when you start iTunes you can select to either play on your computer, or stream to the AE. Download the Apple Remote app to control it from your iPhone 4.

Now the best bit.....if you have the Spotify Premium app on the iPhone, Spotify automatically detects the AE, and again you have the choice to play through phone speakers, or AE.......no extra software or setup is needed for this, it's already integrated in Spotify.

A no brainer versus Sonos IMO, as you could just have more AE's in other rooms for 'zones'.

£75 well spent.

The DPX21. It's a wired surround headset that's multiformat, so works on the 360, PS3 and PC. Really pleased with it so far, just need to give it a go on Forza.

You could always try switching broadband supplier. I got the free Sky branded Netgear router when I joined them and I can't really fault it.

an apple tv replicates the airport express right? £20 more but does the video streaming too.

Whats the surround sound like on them?
I was having a look online and you can get something called a "dss" that turns normal turtle beaches into surround sound.
I was thinking of getting it, do you think its worth it?

The surround is very good, arguably better than my surround amp for gaming anyway. If you play games like Call of Duty and Battlefield then the surround is a genuine aid in helping to locate shots and footsteps, but for any game it will make the experience more immersive.

Is the DSS worth it? In my honest opinion it is expensive for what it is (if buying separately), but if you don't have a full 5.1 set up connected to your console then perhaps the investment is worth it.

I saw one on ebay going for £40. Seems like a pretty decent price to me.
Think ill take the plunge. I can feel myself slowly turning into an audio whore! :)

Yeah I'd definitely go for one at that price. I've seen them for sale online for well over £50 so that's a decent deal. You won't regret it.
