Me personally - a bit disappointed but tomorrow I feel is the one to remember
Loved his single video, was howling with laughter and cringe-i-ness, and when he came on stage too early - well that just finished me off. My whole family just look at me and stared, then moved slightly farther away.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
argghh ! missed both shows...totally forgot about them ... is there going be a repeat?
You only missed 1 show the final one is tonight, i thought it was great but as said above espcially looking forward to tonight
I thought it was also a little disappointing. Still had the cringe worthy scenes, but it was a bit flat.
Heaps better the the 'Only Fools & Horses' Xmas Special
Missed it, but will watch tonight's.
Are they being repeated?
Just saw the concluding episode.
In a word, Perfect.
It was just utterly fantastic, . The Best TV show I've seen since The Secret Life Of Us.
a bit of a schmultzy ending, but great "uncomfortable" viewing.
Have to agree the whole series had everything and the ending was superb really enjoyed it shame it has to end
A very much ideal ending. It'd taint the concept were they to drag it out further IMHO.
Yes indeed. Quit whilst ahead syndrome.
For anyone whose missed it, it is certain to be repeated on BBC3 or UKG2 at some point.
Better still wait for the DVD that's certain to arrive.
I thought it was brilliant and the perfect way to end off the series. The way they handled David Brent at the end was a nice touch.
Oh, and in case you haven't heard, they are releasing that single for real.
Both episodes of 'The Office' Christmas specials are being repeated on BBC3:
Sunday January 4th at 22:00 (Pt. 1 - 45 min) and 22:45 (Pt. 2 - 55 min),
Monday January 5th at 23:00 (Pt. 1) and Tuesday January 6th at 23:00 (Pt. 2).
I thought the the last ten minutes were pure genius. Ironic UK comedy at its very best.
The way David Brent despatched of finchy was a sign of how far Brent had come since he left the office. Also, Gareth, in essence became Brent, delivering **** poor gags - which is waht we expected.
The last scene when brent asked if they had enough film was a sure sign that Brent had achieved redemption as for the first time, he did not have anything to say. At last.
I loved both of the last two episodes. Probably the very last one was better.
Especially the bit were David Brent was waiting for his date to turn up and the fat woman walked towards him, he let out a sigh of relief and said he thought she was his date! Hilarious!
Much, much better than the crappy - lets really hope it is the last -Only Fools and Horses. Why they didn't leave it with them as Millionaires I don't know! All of the last three Christmas 'specials' have been well below par.
Although I enjoyed the Christmas Specials, I have to say that it also finally convinced me that the decision not to make any more was the right one. The funny stuff was diluted by too much other stuff going on and I found myself just wanting to get through these bits so we could get on with the funny stuff again. The TV series had raised the standards and were, I admit, a difficult act to follow, but I think they managed it....just. ......
ps wasn't the scene where Brent told Finchey to f' off just priceless?
I've tried a few times to watch the Office but have always given up after about 5 minutes. I've been chatting to mates over Christmas and it seems to be the ones who have worked in a large office environment who like this program.
Fat Lady - "What's wrong?
Brent - "Nothing, I'm just waiting for a blind date and I thought you were it"
i am 1 exception to that unoficial rule i have never worked in an office and think the program is excellant
I think I will give it another try then. I'll try and watch the repeats on UK Gold first to see if I can get into it.
