We moved into our new house and the floor speakers had to go. Don't ask! I tried Sony's in-wall/in-ceiling speakers for front and rear and can't wait to rip them out of the walls...they suck. I need to find the smallest (cubes?) speakers that can be heard and not (hardly) seen. Is there such a beast without sacrificing the sound? Is it possible to find GOOD in-wall speakers or is that a waste of time and $$$. So here I am with a 42" Plasma tv with sound like a transister radio. Spare me! What would be some good choices in this situation up to $1000.00.

I was about to mention that Kef also do in-wall speakers, but since you are in the US, you'll probably find the M&K's better bang-per-buck (we pay a fortune for them in the UK).

Also check out the Paradigm in walls, probably the best value for money, if not the best performance.
