So many Sony Televisions - Which one and what's the point?

I've just been to I've got a good knowledge of technology, but looking at their range of TVs, it's ridiculous. Do they deliberately make it difficult to compare specs? It certainly seems that way to me.

If I just want a 100Hz+ TV of 32 inches, there is no way I can obtain the best TV from me from the initial screen that lists sets. The descriptions for different ranges is also hopeless - it doesn't help me differentiate beyond "this will look nice in your living room".

Well what's your budget and what will you be using the tv mainly? - then maybe we could help recommend you something :)

3 things that will determine your choice range will be:
- what will be your viewing distance?
- what is your budget and
- what is your usage habit/viewing habit?
