I can receive 1080/hd1 on a PC using a PCI card but would like to get the Irdeto card however I have been told it will not work with the twinhan as I need, and I qoute " Broadcom BCM7035 chipset for HDTV to kick in. " I can see hd at the mo but I know it is not true HD as I do not have the correct display, why will I need this chipset that is mentioned?

    Help as usual.

    And many thanks

Sounds bogus to me. You can see HD1 now, when it's broadcast free to air during the day ? If you can, then I can't see why you'd have a problem just adding the CAM & card to be able to view it when it's encrypted.

The broadcom chip looks like an embedded solution for STBs (see http://zh-cn.broadcom.com/products/product.php?product_id=BCM7035&category_id=6) - provided your Twinhain is able to offload the MPEG decoding to your graphics card it should be fine.

    All speculation of course ;)
