Do you like any of the classic vetran series from that time? Zelda, Kirby, some of the harder to get Mega Mans, Castlevania, etc.? For my game, Mega Man, I like 7 better than Rockman & Forte, Rockman & Forte gets a little annoying after awhile compared to 7 - still a greate cartridge though. For the X series on the SNES, the original, hands down in my opinion.

You have to get to X4 before the X series gets decent IMO, which, those are for PSX/PS2. So far, I think X4 beats X5 and X6 hands down..but I haven't cleared either of the later. Capcom also infected a decent amount of the more modern Mega Man games with that annoying jazz-lounge/rap/slow bland techno music they've been putting into some of the more modern VS fighters they made. At least some of the more modern Mega Mans have a memorable tune here and there, X4 especially.

PS.
Try getting Mega Man X2 or X3 for the snes in complete condition(something I've been doing at least for all of my NES favorites for now). You're looking at $200-$300 depending upon the game.

How about:

Starfox (Starwing?)
Street Fighter 2
Donkey Kong Country (1 and 2)

Oh and what about the video lead???

The snes has an av out exactly the same as the n64 and gamecube.

So you could just drop into game or somewhere and pick up a GC scart cable.

Super Mario World
Mario Kart
Street fighter II
PilotWings
Stunt Race FX - maybe
Sim City
Zombies Ate My Neighbours

They're certainly the ones I'm playing via an emulator!

How about e-bay?

A lead is here, for example, and there are plenty of games on there too.

My favorite game on the SNES has to be Shadowrun. Much better than the Sega version, IMO.

Super Bomberman has to be in there as well - class game!

Unfortunately i'm SNESless at the moment but during the times I owned one I must say the following got a lot of play:

- Streetfighter 2 (various versions)

- Mario Kart (One of the best racers ever, took real skill to get really decent lap times and battle mode was one of the best multiplayer experiences to date! Awesome game & nice to see this in your collection already!)

- Super Tennis (class game which I also notice you have)

- FZero (yep another one you've got and another SNES classic!)

- Super Bomberman (I make do with the MD Mega Bomberman but the SNES version was good as well)

- Star Fox (great game - superb action from start to finish - I remember paying £80 for the US version with an adapter when this first came out!)

- Zelda (fantastic adventure - this and Fantasy Star IV on the MD were my faves back in the day!)

- Super Mario World (can't fault it - outstanding platformer!)

- Striker (played this a fair bit back in the early 90's but it doesn't fair that well today)

- Super Probotector (Contra 3 in Japan - fantasticly addictive shooter!)

- Super Smash TV (again another game I now have on the MD but I think the SNES version was better)

I'm sure there were a few other classics as well but those are the games I played the most - great console with some of the best console games ever released!

:hiya: Bought a couple of snes units to recapture my childhood & show my sons that we did have some good games before Xbox..

Have a couple of questions for you:
the uk pal system i have had no problem setting up & getting working.

:lease:
:lesson: but the American system i got with 6 games i just can not get to work
so i am after a P.S.U for the american unit (no power up light) or am i missing something blatently obvious !

or any one got a converter available to play U.S.A games on the U.K system

has anyone got one for sale ? or swop a megadrive system (no P.S.U or leads) & Sonic in box with instructions. (p.s i'm in HANWELL LONDON W7)

U.S.A SNES does not accept the Uk P.S.U

To make matters worse the P.S.U i was supplied with the USA one is damaged - have looked on ebay but no one seems to be selling the PSU  sods law if i was not after one you'd see loads for sale.

Is a converter avalable ! if so whats the make so i can do an Ebay search
