Hi, the end of my lead has snapped off in the sub port on my receiver and I can not get it out. Anyone know how I might get it out? Its a onkyo 636. Which would be a good upgrade? Would like 7.2 next I think

I did this before. I brought it to a TV repair shop and the guy had it fixed while I waited within 5 minutes. He just soldered a small wire / paperclip onto the bit that was still stuck inside the socket and gently tugged it out. Job done.

Thanks all. Just had a go at getting it out and ended pushing the bit stuck down. What is the wire I need, I forgot. I got a new phono wire, is that correct. Photo of before I pushed it in. Hope I not done more damage .

well it worked for a while. Now it's stopped. Going to take the sub round to a mates house sometime just to see if it is the sub or my receiver .
