Smokey and the Bandit 4K Blu-ray Review & Comments

Thanks for the review. In no hurry to see this again, but would be fun on a Rainy Sunday

I never upgraded my DVD to Bluray, so I'll definitely be picking this one up when it hits multi-buy status.

Ah, Jackie Gleason and his increasingly inappropriate one-liners in this and on in the series of films.
Truly a gentleman of his times.

ok when I was 7 but I bit dated now, cant see this going in my collection :)

Watched it not long ago on NF or Prime.

Pretty decent and good to watch movies from a time when the world didnt take itself too serious.

No hurry to rewatch so it’ll be a Black Friday purchase for me.

On balance, I’d like a 4K Cannonball more I think.

Guess some studios have nothing better to do these days.

Oh hell I’ll say it….Gleason was brilliant as the Sheriff! no doubt the easily offended will have a nervous breakdown at the thought of the dialogue…..but Buford T Justice is still a hilarious film character of its day.

Got to be honest, I think this is one of the worst Atmos mixes I’ve ever heard. Very unbalanced, with vocals feeing really muddy and unclear.

Picture definitely better than the audio IMO.

Only a couple of years late so I think I'm ok?

Picture quality is good quality blu-ray level which is par for the course with these types of movies. Audio was actually pretty good considering with some nice surround, height effects and those V8 engines sound great with BEQ and a subwoofer.

Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jacky Gleason, Jerry Reed. Nuff Sed!
