Currently I am a 30 cigs a day smoker and want to cut down or even quit.

Now I want some info or advice on ecig so I can use one of these for my smoking habit.

I don't know much about these so am after advice on best ecig to buy and all the stuff what I need to get started.

Also where to order these from and how much roughly it will cost to start and then each month?

I smoke lambert and butler silver king size so do they even do ecigs what taste as close as to smoking lambert and butler cigs?

    Any info or advice please?

There is an E cig thread on here but to be honest unless you want to wade through a million posts I'd try here.
    New User Questions

Personally an eGo kit is a good place to start.

There are Lambert and Butler flavour liquids but I cannot comment on how good they are. Most people start out looking to replace their favourite cigs but most liquids won't really replace them. You will find something you like though.

Well, there are hundreds around. Many sites brand a basic eGo kit with their name etc and charge a lot more. When I started I bought a kit for the same money that was just one battery and one clearomizer, just had the brand name and a shiny tin. You may find a cheaper kit elsewhere but these guys do free delivery over £10 orders and it always arrives next day. If you do order from them add code "POTV" at checkout for 12.5% off.

The guys and girls over at POTV are very helpful and will guide you on your way to a happy vaping experience. I have the same nick on there btw.

What I want is a good ecig which is thin and good to look at lol. Not a big chimney one or something!

And what ever liquid which will give me 20 smokes worth a day.

How long does the liquid last if having equivalent of 20 smokes a day?

Is it gonna be a lot cheaper than still smoking?

I vape about 20ml a week. Probably 15 cigs worth. It will work out cheaper in the long run but you will be tempted to buy new kit. You can bulk buy liquid and it's also easy to make yourself.

Yes and yes. Just fill up the top bit to the level indicator. Careful not to get down centre tube.

Start off with 30ml and see how much you are getting through. You can usually get it delivered next day on standard postage in case you are worried about it running out.

With these ones the ego kit do you need to buy one every month as it gets blocked up?

Been reading the vapour only works upto 30 days then gets blocked?

Or are they the cheaper version?

These are the basic ones people generally start with. The clearo will last about a month but there are ways to clean them for longer life. You get 4 in that kit so should last a while. Other versions you can buy the internal wick and atomizer at about 2 quid a pop.

Then there is the world of rebuilding where you buy wick and wire and basically make a new heating coil. This is what I do now. Sounds complicated but actually easy after a couple of goes.

Try the basic kit to start with, then try out different clearomisers and tanks as you get more familiar with the whole thing. It's how most people start.

Ddint work for me I'm afraid to say as I couldn't get the hit right and I tried a few different options . I either got such a hit that would knock my head back and make my throat raw or nothing at all like a weak superking although I've not given up yet with them and continue to try different products and blends.

That really made me laugh, I remember when I smoked my mate used to hand out the superkings and we all proceeded to snap off the first inch before lighting them :rotfl:

tomorrow will be 10 weeks since my last fag.i went to a shop that just does e cigs and had a try at a few different flavours,i settled on menthol as this gave me the best hit compared with the tobacco versions.
my advice would be to find out if there are any shops near you where you can try before you buy,if you get one you are happy with you can always order consumables online cheaper.
    good luck

ps.i go through 20 ml of fluid and one cart every 2 weeks and i was on 40 fags a day.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I have six smokes left and I am determined they will be my last.

Where is the best place to walk in and come away with a e-cig starter pack?

Also, any recommendations when I am there?

I need to buy today so not tempted to buy another pack on the way home from work.

    Many thanks.

    STOP DITHERING :D

eGo is a good starting point.i notice you are in st helens so had a quick search and found this place,i don't know the company so can't comment on them but worth a look.
    Eciguk St Helens - Home

pop down if it is close to you and have a try,you don't have to buy from them if you are not happy or would prefer to buy online,at least you will know exactly what these things are like.
