SMB Drive Questions

Guys

We have two 'puters at home - a Mac Book Pro and an old Dell running XP .

On each me and the other half have our own accounts.
From the Dell I have shared our "My Documents" folders.

On Mac I can connect to these "servers"/SMB drives no worries but they both appear on each of our Mac desktops. Hers on mine with a no entry and mine on hers with a no entry.

How do I only mount my SMB drive from XP on my Mac account and hers on hers.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers

By default all shares are mounted in '/Volumes'. The only thing I can think of is to mount the individual shares in your respective Home folders. You would have to do this manually using mount_smbfs in Terminal. Once you have the command sorted you can then use Automator to create a Login Item to do it automatically for you.
