Ok so I've got plenty of media on my PC, most of it is 1080p H264/AAC.

Currently just watch on my PC, but thinking about buying a TV for my room.

Can I stream directly to a smart tv which has Wifi connectivity (looking at KDL-32W653 and TX-L32E6B) without any additional hardware?

Would there be any loss of quality? Especially as I have a rubbishy Sky router.

The computer and tv will be in the same room, but the router is downstairs.

    Thanks

    Tom

If you look on the app page of your smart tv you will find plex. I think I have only seen them on samsung and lg sets but may be wrong

Install the media centre on your pc then point it towards your media.

You can then stream from your tv any chosen media in a nice ui rather then dlna.

    Try it out.
