Smart light switch neutral

No neutral on the light switch in the living room which is using led dimmer. There is a two way hall socket controlling downstairs and upstairs lights where i could get to and i thought id found a neutral there on the same circuit but when i turn on the upstairs light that dissapears when switched.
Any thoughts or shall i leave it for now as to get into the ceiling point above i will have to rip the en suite apart.
