No idea when it comes to free-view etc. So looking for some help here (stupid questions may be asked). :clown:

My Dad has a Pioneer DBR-T210GBP converted 'on-digital' set top box.
Apparently you are now able to view some 'added' channels on free view but when he tries to view them "Insert Smart Card" comes up.

    1. What is a smart card?
    2. Where are they available from and do they cost?
    3. Will this then unlock the channels (if available) indefinatley?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Beepcake,

    Thanks for the info.

Think my dad was slightly off the mark as he thought it was all free.

    Thanks
