Smaller fronts - louder surrounds

As previously posted I have swapped my Mission floorstanders and M7C2 centre for three Kef KHT 9000's.
One big thing I am noticing is that sound from the surround channels seems much louder. The surround effects particularly in Prologic II mode are all of a suden more obvious than before.
Is this suggesting that the Kefs are a much better tonal match for my Mission M7D's or that they are simply lacking extra kick that the floorstanders have?
The Kefs are'nt exactly feeble with suggested amp power up to 150 watts and a maximum spl of 111 db (@ 1 M)
All speakers have been calibrated to 75 db.

Stellavision thanks for your posts, sorry I can't help you with question but I would be greatful of a further post once set up right and ran in, as I'm thinking of these as my next set of speakers(5xkefs + pb2_plus)

No probs miniman.
It will probably be a few weeks now until they are setup as they should be (ie wall mounted) because we just found out today the owners of the property we are buying have been let down with their purchase.
Bearing in mind they have already pulled out of two others since January it's becoming a right nightmare, but hey, this is not the place for me to moan!:(
Sorry.

Don't worry about moaning, this is as good a place as any. Just focus on your goal of pure av fun. Hope you get it all sorted and I will look forward to your review. As for myself I'm going to have to sell a few things first(my decks, spare amps, subs, wife:D and a few old sets of speakers) as I need to do a bit a clear out.
