Does anyone have any experience with small LCD touchscreen monitors?

I have found one on http://www.mini-itx.com/store/default.asp?c=9#p503 , good website.

Thinking of getting a mini media PC for the car and using a touchscreen for controlling it.

Or just for use at home as a mini media PC.

    Cheers

I've used a 19" crt touch screen before. Can't really go wrong to be honest, click at a point and the cursor moves there, drage your hand and they move about. For conencting it to a PC I can't see a problem, especially as it has USB on it. Would be a neat (expensive) gadget from controlling a Home Cinema though! Of course it would depend on which software you wanted to use?

You can find what looks to me like exactly the same screen on ebay for £160 including VAT.

Have a look at this item for example:

    Ebay Item 5712364493

I've also seen a screen that slides out of a standard width car stereo slot. I couldn't find one that was touch sensitive. Shame because that would be very very cool.

    Higgers.

There's the same for £145 on Ebay too. :)

It's very tempting, but I need to buy a car first. Heh.

I've also been looking a an in-car PC and have bought a Xenarc 7" touch screen, but they're a bit more expensive than the Lilliputs - you can take a look at http://www.pcmediastore.co.uk/

Still haven't got around to building the PC yet - still sorting out the car AV.
