Question Small Sub required

Hi,

I am after a bit of help as not really up in Subs but have been trawling the forums for info. I currently have some Q Acostuic 7000's in my front room and due to us changing the room around I need to find a sub that will fit into a space no bigger than 345 x 345 x 345 which rules out the Gemini II as this is 355 high.
The subs I am looking at are the wharfdale power cube spc10, Rel T-zero but just wondered if anyone has any advice on them or others?
Probably looking to spend £400 max.
Thanks in advance!

SVS SB1000 would be perfect for the space you described. 330x330x330

Also performance wise it would eat alive all those you mentioned. ;) 300w (RMS) Sledge digital dsp amp with 5year warranty, 12" driver, freq response 24-260 Hz +/- 3dB. Sadly the prices has jumped little. You might want to ask if one of these shops can make you better offer. If i remember correctly there was a 450£ deal going on while ago. Remember with others you get only 1-2year warranty and Sb10000 should work nicely in small room.

Though i got to say you are playing little risky game by choosing the placement before you get the sub in home. I hope the placement is near the front speakers as those sats are probably going to be crossed at 90-100hz.

Well the other one is real subwoofer (SVS) and the other not much... REL is great brand for sure, but T Zero model has 6,5" driver. I wouldn`t really call that a subwoofer. And powercube spc10 is too high (382). Best to save some money and buy good one. No regrets later and better for long term.

Are you putting it inside of some cabinet? (Height restriction) I hope not..

Having bought a second hand svs (sb2000) I can vouch for the above. I've had 3 different subs in the past 2 years (2 x bk gemini 2 and the velodyne Impact 10) upgraded because the bk got hums (something I went to great lengths to remedy because I loved ) and the velodyne (auto on feature isnt a patch on the SVS). I spent more than I wanted to initially, but ended up with an amazing sub (something I thought I wouldn't own) with 2 years on the warranty remaining.

Ridiculously impressed with the outcome too!

Ok thanks....I might see if I can source a second hand one maybe......it will be in a cabinet sort of....two sides enclosed and two open...unfortunately that's the only place it can go (well I can get away with!)....
