Tried trawling through the various threads but to no avail - I am ideally after a 'wall-plate' type panel for my speaker connectors but want something smaller than the standard socket size.

I'm sure I've seen in the past small connector plates around 4 x 8 cm or less (thought these were from Maplin but searced their site with no luck either).

Also need the equivalent sized back box as well (I know Maplin do connector strips but not with a correspondingly sized wall mountable box).

Any pointers on where to find what I'm after would be appreciated.

Apologies if I'm not making an awful lot of sense as I'm unsure of the correct terminology

You can buy what are known as "Architrave" switch boxes and cover plates they are around 1" x 3 " you could then drill your own holes and fit some panel mount speaker sockets.
    try www.CPC.co.uk

You can get better quality sockets but the above gives you the idea of what to look for.
