The Wharfedale Diamond 8s are good speakers and you'll be able to create a package at under £350; they actually sell a Diamond 8 package with no sub for £230, have a look here http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/product.asp?id=1038 .

TBH these will sound better than the AM6s anyway - but that's my opinion!

You could also spare the £120 that package leaves you and save up for a BK XLS200 sub!

i bought the Canton CD1 set but added 2 x CD50 for music as i felt on it's own it was o.k. but nothing fantastic. However friends couldn't believe how much sound came from such small speakers and thought it was very good as it was. For the £240 JJ is asking on this forum the CD1 is a steal.

You could do worse than having a look at these :

    http://www.orbaudio.com/index.asp

Depending on exchange rate and customs you might get them in budget.
I've got them and think they are excellent and the service was superb.
