    Hi folks :smashin:

Yeah, another 'which Sub' post, sorry.

    Thing is, I have a 19ft x 9 ft room.
I also have neighbours with kids.
Being a considerate Brummie (according to a recent survey, we're the rudest in the country, but I digress) , my question is, is it worth buying a decent sub, when I can only pump up the volume at weekends and even then at, I'm guessing, 90Db max ???

I saw a Mordaunt Short (prob 309) at RS for £229 and thought maybe it was a bit OTT.
But would this be the best to match my setup?

I'm running MS 902's front, cheapey Eltax centre and MS 903's rear.
My sub at the min is a Videologic digitheatre job. It sounds poor, really muddy, IMO and needs changing. I know it can't handle the power of my Yam 557 amp, so I have it turned down, to avoid distortion.

I will probably upgrade things, but slowly and for quality, not volume

So any recommendations would be nice.
Obviously the cheaper the better ;)
PS thoughts on a centre would be good too :smashin:

The MS309 would be an excellent subwoofer choice as it's quite restrained compared to some but has everything where it counts.

For a centre speaker you really want the MS model which matches your MS902s. :)

A decent sub does make a big difference and even if you can only "pump up the volume" at weekends it is more than many people can manage.

I think that's the route I'll go down. :smashin:
