Small quiet and cool amp required

Standard Member
New kitchen again

Need pair of ceiling speakers

Set up

Airport express in cupboard -> small amp -> good wires -> ceiling speakers

Have seen the audioengine n22 which seems to fit the bill, but steep at 150 quid. Small compact, power sensitive and cool. Is there anything else out there comparable to these to use.

Also will require some help with the array of speakers to get, been told Cambridge audio pair, (£200 a pair mind) are good - mind you they should be.

Would rather have spent 100 ish per pair, as they are mainly for music in the kitchen while she cooks.....

Another point too, if the telly (posted in other thread) had rubbish speakers, would that n22 be able to have two inputs and play which everyone was playing(tv or airport) rather than having to go to cupboard, change input etc etc...!

Any ideas gratefully appreciated

have a search for ta2020 on ebay - should bring up some good sounding small, cool running amps for about £40 - single input usually though
