I am Looking for some recommendations as regards the best small bookshelf/stand speakers to match a Nad L53 2.1 A/V Receiver – for both music and TV.
I’m thinking about the Wharfedale Diamond 8.1 (are they still manufactured?) and 9.1, the PSB Image 25 (a little too large (especially re. height and depth) and the Missions (for old times sake).
I assume that Bose are a no, no, unless they are to be matched with Bose equipment.
Sad to say that with marriage, looks (of the speakers) becomes increasingly important too!

I also backup the kef iq3 recommendation. At about 270£, it's just a little over your budget.

Kef Q1... great prices now with the new iQ range...
