I have a limited space on a mantle piece to accomodate a centre speaker (approx 15cm H and approx 10cm Depth, length is not an issue).
I appreciate that this will probably not offer me the greatest centre speaker in the world - but that's all I've got to work with.

Can anyone recommend a mini centre speaker?

I had considered getting hold of a centre speaker from one of those 5.1 sets shops sell - but am unsure of how to go about it.

    Help please!

    Thanks.

The reason I need a small centre is because the TV is wall-mounted above the fire place. There is a gap of approx. 15cm between mantle-piece and TV -I want to rest the speaker on that.

Yesterday I had a hike up and down Tottenham Court Road and have looked at:

    B & W VM1 - nice but a little big (will fit though)
Mordaunt Short 304 - seemed round about the right dimensions - did not hear it though..
Canton CD 50 - looked very nice and is thin but again could not hear it.

Should I be looking at any others? Bear in mind this height issue of approx. 15cm.

I also saw those Gallo sphere things - they look weird... can an oversized tennis ball be a centre speaker? :)

    What are your other speakers?

The MS304 is a nice little speaker for the money.

    Thanks Guys.

For the record I have Mission 753 Primaveras as fronts and the Blue Room Micropods as rears [wall mounted].

    I will check out Canton.
