    Hi,

Has anybody any info on the Samsung SM241MP LCD screen? (Or any other 24" LCD/plasma screen)
I'm a bit short on space and would have to start ripping unit's out to fit CRT in my living room without it looking out of place...

    Thanks

    Jamie

Yes, I borrowed one of these:

Its a lovely screen but the LCD seemed dull compared to Sharp's offerings.

    Regards,
    Neil.

Neil, nice pics, thanks for those.
What do you think of the 241MP? I'm currently torn between that and an Apple CinemaHD 23 incher. As far as my judgement goes, the Aplpe looks absolutely dropdead gorgeous and the price is reasonable as well (£1550 with education discounts.) Downside is that you have to buy a DVI converter for the PC (£60, not a problem) and it doesnt have s-video/composite inputs, or PIP or a TV-tuner. So it's just a digital computer display, nothing else.

The 241MP, however, has all those things, is an inch bigger but doesn't look as good and is £2300. How is the image quality? You have a gamecube running, how does it go with PC stuff (games, desktop, photo-editing etc) and especially DVDs?

    Thanks

For PC use for me it was too big and hard on the eyes. The picture brightness was a little bit dull also, atleast compared to an Eizo VGA LCD screen. The buttons where really annoying soft touch buttons that are easy to hit by mistake.
