Ok i'm not sure how longs left, but its slow this month.
Come on people
Is this the one that closed on 25th September or is there another one?
The October comp is open now.
yup. Closes on 26th. Not long left
Im going to enter it but Im undecided which picture to enter one is a football match picture which Im going to call Where I went Sunday when I left my home.Or a holiday snap called Where I sent a postcard home from.
Well was the team you was watching at "home"
Had similar take, using word in "home straight" for any racing event. Was going to take some action shots form recent Autograss event but rain stopped play. Always wanted to capture a head on shot from horse racing, but would need a decent zoom
Come on guys, get your piccies in
I dont get it we had 43 last month, there's only 12 i think for oct so far with only a week left
Is the problem of people not being able to access it sorted? Mr Cat & Gordon could not view the comp. Where's that Steve Green characters entry as well.
Mr green was waiting for a certain event to take place, i dont know if its happend yet. You'd think with a theme like "home loads would have entered.
Maybe they are waiting till the last minute? The thing is if you leave it too long someone else will probably have used a simillar idea for their piccy.
yeah I reckon we will get a ramp in entries very soon.!!
by the way, I know I mentioned it before, but did you two have a look over at usefilm.com ? Well worth a look. Click "photo critique" to browse through. Need to register a username and password to be able to see images larger. Some great stuff there (mix of digital and film despite the website title!)
Well nicola and Garrett have not posted yet, those two will enter for sure. We'll get more, but i can't see us getting anywhere near 43
Nice one Geordie,
I always look on Pbase to, some great photo's there, and you can do it by cam model.
http://www.pbase.com/cameras almost every make you can think
http://www.ephotozine.com. Is a good site that nicola put me on to
Looks cool too. I will take a look.
I am totally in limbo with cameras right now ! I don't know what to do. I have been having some fun with an old manual-everything SLR, but do feel the hit everytime I pay development costs. Usually getting around 50% strike rate on ones I could bin! My digital is fairly old and has no scope for messing with any settings. I like the review of the compact zoom Fuji E-550 in this months Practical Photography. Dont think I can afford the 300D, and I like the review of Fuji s7000 but its fairly large and im not sure it gains much in quality.
One day I will decide !
That new panasonic FZ20 looks like a very nice camera http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Panasonic/panasonic_dmcfz20.asp
I've not entered yet, as I can't think of an original idea for 'home' that isn't a pun.
Might have to wait for next month...
come on, you can think of something !
Home is what ever it means to you personally.
I've thought of a good staged photo, just have to get around to actually shooting it!
More puns the better . It's just for fun......look fwd to seeing your shot
Ref # of entries, I recall someone stating they didn't realise there was an Oct comp in addition to Sept. Is there an easy way for Mods to PM Sept entrants to remind them of Oct Comp ? At least we know 43 people would know about it
Dont think there is a way to just blanket pm. Its hard to miss really
I'm sure Stuart mentions the comp in the newsletter he emails to all members.
Somehow I'm not expecting to win...
Well, there looks to be a few more in now, still a few more days to go though so just get those pictures in. Mine is obviously the one to beat so far
I've really been struggling with this one, but have just had an idea involving a can of gold spray paint (oooh matron)
I hope you're not thinking of doing a JohnG version of a brass door knob
Last night I was thinking about what to enter and I thought of something really good, anyhow, now in the morning, I can't remember what it was
Yeah gin's bad for the memory
Separate names with a comma.
