I am building my first HT system and bought myself an azur 540r (bit of a bargain for 179.99 from RS).

Don't have the funds to buy the whole 5.1 shebang from the outset so looking to first buy the 3 fronts and I've narrowed it down to the following selection:

    Mordaunt Shorts: 2 x 902i and 905i centre
Monitor Audio: 2 x BR2 and BRLCR centre
SVS: 2 x SB12+ and the SVS centre (not sure of model number)

All of which should be relatively close price wise around (I think) the £200 - £300 mark.

I understand that the SVS will probably ultimately deliver the best HT/5.1 experience but I'll probably be listening to a lot more music in stereo rather than using the full 5.1 (probably 80% music) and music wise SVS reviews have not been great.

Anyone know which set is best for music or have any other suggestions?

MA BR2's will be the best for music (and as they're the most expensive, so they should be).

I assume you actually mean te SBS-01 and SCS-01 speakers, not an SB12+ as thats the "baby" sub:devil: (think they are the numbers, not at home so can't check on mine)

yes, I think you're right on the model numbers.

I've just noticed your sig and you're running a very similar set up to mine - I've a LE46M87BDX, V+, xbox360 - the TV is superb isn't it?

Looks like the MA BR2s are the way to go then...

    thanks for the help gents

The MA's and MS's sound actually quite similar, I reckon the MA's are worth the extra money though.

You recommend them over the SVS. Have you heard them?
