Hey people. . .tried a quick search with no success to sorry if any help already lurks in here! . . .Had my superb Denon 3930 about 9ish months and recently noticed that access to either chapters or features has become VERY slow (can hear the transport ticking)this is only after the main film has played all the way through and then returns to the dvds menu. . the machine has even got locked into this "transport ticking" to the extent that it wont power down (with out using the HARD off button!)happens on both r1 and 2 discs. . .thank you in advance for any helpful suggestions

Could try resetting it as per the manual (under Resetting) but if it still happens then it will need to go to Denon to be looked at.

Hi, I had the same problem which culminated in my machine not being able to boot up discs- see my thread 'faulty denon 3930'. You should definately have this looked at before it gets worse.

Had the same with mine as well.Always has been slow to read disc on first insert and to eject
but chapter skips became slower and slower then started getting artifacts.
Sent back to Denon and now great with chapter skips being faster than it was when new.Still the slow eject though

Hi Smiffy,

Thanks m8 - for your reply, infact my machine are not slow on eject or load, but f.eks: stopping a movie and then use the resume, sometimes i can take up to a minute before it starts, or using the menues to extra materiale it's very slow - that's the major problems - are btw using firmware BE 8284-5, IP 060802, witch firmware does your 3930 have?, hope to hear from ya. Cheers.

Hi
will check later but have a feeling it does not display firmware version if u are using remote multi region hack.
I think in the reviews of the Denon 3930 it said the machine was a bit slow.worth waiting for though given the pic quality.

I bought from internet company based in the uk called Purely Gadgets. I have been dealing with them for repair/replacement/refund. Sent my player off 4months ago and still not fixed so they have either offered partial refund, minus 5% for every month I had it=£590.75, or full value credit at the store. I think this price is to low so no doubt will be having another argument with them!

good luck with that as i believe Purely Gadgets is not an authorised UK denon dealer and bring in grey imports. I almost bought from the my current amp but held off as have heard some horror stories about them.

Indeed - not very good - try to contact Denon UK - let them check the serial number as well - and tell the history, hope will find a solution, that suits - Cheers, MichaelG.
