Hi all,

Having bought all 7 seasons of Star Trek DS9 I decided to send my tokens and £9 for the digital camera. If anyone is thinking of doing the same DON'T.

I did not expect much but I expected better than the cheap plasticy low resolution one than I received! I have never seen such a load of crap! he he

Wish I'd ordered the PC game now instead :(

I would go for either the PC Game, the signed Book or the Film Cell, I sent off for the film cell after I bought Season 4 and it took about 3 weeks but is well nice.

The game is great fun - I brought it when it was released and thoroughly enjoyed it. You have to be a regular Star Trek viewer to get the most from it but, if you've brought several of the DS9 boxsets, you are certainly in that category.

Roll on the release of Voyager!

any ideas when they plan to release TOS or Enterprise?

Last I heard the Original Series will follow Voyager. And as the releases of that don't even start until quite late into this year - May - we probably won't see TOS until early next year.

Hopefully Enterprise will then follow - I've not been watching this series (other than the first episode) waiting for the DVD releases. So the sooner they come the better IMHO.

According to the last rumours, the original series should be out towards the end of this year. There is only three seasons, so I would expect them around October to December.

Voyager is May 2004 - May 2005.

There are 2 episodes of The Original Series on the 6th Disc in the Voyager Region 2 Set along with trailers for TNG and DS9.

I am looking foward to seeing the TOS episodes. I have heard the pic quality of the R1 is quite exceptional as it is transferred from film rather than video.

I was collecting the R1 TOS Volumes and they were indeed excellent quality and the 5.1 was very nice but once I heard about the R2 sets it worked out cheaper to stop collecting and wait for the boxsets to be released.

Also, I have to say that I hated what the R1 Voyager Boxset art looked like and if the R2 Boxset art was the same I wasent going to get them but thank goodness it is different and much better in my opinion.

Have you seen pictures of the R2 packaging online? I agree the R1 sets look awful!

Cheers for that - the packaging does look much improved from the R1 version.

What's with all the people in the 'comments' section to that article complaining about the price though!?! Prior to the TNG release I was preparing to pay around £20 for individual DVDs with 3, maybe 4 episodes per disk. That would have worked out well over £100 per season so these boxsets seem quite good value to me. The fact their are less episodes in the first series boxset doesn't seem that much of an issue - odds are the price won't go up when the put more episodes in later boxsets!

People will always complain, usually they compare the price to the R1 sets and say we are getting ripped off but to tell the truth, I dont think £10 per disc is a rip off, I think it is very fair and as long as they dont want more than £59.99 I will buy them.

I bnought the re-released TNG VHS at £9.99 each. They stopped at season five as they lost sales due to the DVD sets.

I also bought every DS9 VHS on day of release over seven years at £12.99. That is over £170 per season. I bought the DVD's as well, and thought they were excellent value for money at less than £60. Some people won't even buy them at £45 which Play and Amazon have done and can get them in under a year if they wanted.

I haven't got season four and five of DS9, and won't get them until they are less than £50 as I have run out of money. I also want to wait to make sure I get the new disc holders so I don't get cracked discs.

At christmas dvd.co.uk were doing all DS9 Sets at £49.99 each, seems they are only doing Season 1 and 2 at that price now.
