Having just ditched $ky , i am in the process of obtaining a motorised system along with a Technomate TM5402HD.

My confusion relates to "What card" do i need and "who from " in order to get the Premier L Matches ...I have read most of the threads on this forum, and i am more confused than ever.
Do i get a card from TRING ? (although PQ seems to be an issue, and from reading the threads it seems a tad unreliable ) ) Or d o i get a card for "Al- Jazzera ? or do i need both ?
And is there another card i dont know about that would do the job ?

Plus i have no idea what card sharing is .....

    Thanks in advance

    Brian

Card sharing is connecting a receiver to a network to share one or more subscription cards to multiple receivers. You can do this within your own home to avoid 'multiroom' subscriptions or via the internet with others. You will not find anymore info on it here.

www.liveonsat.com will tell you which games are on what channels (it is not always 100% complete but pretty good), you can then check to see if they are receivable in the UK and what subs are involved. You may also wish to look for people from Digital Worldz to help with your Digital Kaos. :D

From confusion to chaos is a big jump but I'll give a  for that one.

It's more of a civil matter than a criminal offence, but getting something for free that other people have to pay for clearly has something dodgy about it!
I'd recommend SkyBSB - on their machines - but you'll find plenty of options here for more than they charge, and some for less.

Have you searched this section for "football"?

Lots of information and I'm sure Logi will be pleased to fill any gaps. ;)

Thanks for the links.........as the above guy said "helpful"

However i spent most of yesterday trawling through all these sites, and came away with a headache...and still unsure of what to sub to .
I suppose my question should be " Who are you guys using "?

    Thanks

Beats trying to explain Sky price increases!

    Tofwings,

I suggested a search in this section of the Forum (not Google) as there are lots of posts about non-Sky access to Premier League, including choice of cards, satellite, equipment, etc.

It would be wise to wait for the actual start of the season - as it is not certain yet who will be showing how many and which matches and also which (if any) will have English commentary. The situation is still fluid at the moment with the EPL withdrawing English commentary to some broadcasters towards the end of last season.

Also note that viewing cards can be turned off without recompense at a moments notice (and they are contractually obliged to do so) if they are suspected of being used outside their "rights territory". This has happened several times with different providers over the last couple of years. The recent ECJ ruling has clarified that such use is not criminally illegal however that does not overrule the terms and conditions of the contracts to use those viewing cards.

That's fun though - much more entertaining than watching people seeing who can run fastest.
