Slightly confused

If i update the firmware on my iphone and then re-jailbreak/unlock will i have all my cydia apps still on there? If not i know that itunes will put all my app store apps back on but how do i go about getting my cydia apps back?

I use Rock to backup my apps, which can then be reinstalled in one hit.

Nope, all your cydia apps will be gone. You either need to back them up in Rock or get the Package Backup app from cydia which will back up for you.

Cheers i did download a backup app from cydia but all it seems to do is backup the info from my app store apps.

Install Rock from Cydia and use Rock.
