Hello. As title really - this is probably an obvious 'oversight' on my part but here goes... Toshiba SD900e > Yam DSP-800(for centre, rears + sub) > Krell 300i (front l+r). I've only recently bought the Tosh (thanks lee) and have just bought a pile of SACD's + DVD-A's (thanks AppriA). Now,playing plain old DVD-V there is no problem - Tosh set to bitstream output,DD or DTS received + processed by the Yamaha. SACD no problems as used with a stereo only player. DVD-A's play fine when the hi-res stereo tracks are selected, the Tosh set to 2ch analogue and fed directly to the Krell (stereo amp). The problem comes when trying to play the DD or DTS 5.1 tracks from DVD-A via co-ax S/Pdif into the Yam. The Yam is only recognising a ProLogic signal, whether the Tosh is set to bitstream output or PCM. As I have no problems with DVD-VIDEO discs using exactly the same equipment I'm presuming I have missed something obvious in the Tosh DVD-A set-up ! Any help greatly appreciated. I have to say that the 2ch analogue output from the Toshiba is quite startling, especially considering what you can get a good used example for nowadays. There are a few mates of mine that may start questioning their decisions to stay with £2500 + CD-Players !
