Has anyone had a similar experience with these bits of equipment? I seem to have a slight ghosting effect on most dvds played and its beginning to annoy me! Anyone know what may be causing it?

Could be ringing due to your sharpness setting being way too high.

Is it ghosting or a "halo effect"? If it's the later, welcome to the downside of the Component inputs on the Panny. It's only noticeable on discs with overactive edge enhancement, I find, but it's an annoyance.

It seems the only option is the VGA input..
