just a quick question building a new pc and was wondering if i would get better performance from 2 8600 gts cards running in sli than just buying 1 8800 gtx . this pc will be running on a 1080p tv and is being built to play the up coming crysis game .

Always go for a single faster card, rather than two slower cards. Of course it'll help if you get 8800 GTS SLI, but put your money into single card solution.

SLI isn't 2x as fast or efficient, and games need to be coded for it. ATI solution is better in theory (all games will work with dual cards)
