I've heard from someone who works in Sky that the only way to get Sky's HD service is through a Sky+ box. Is this correct??
Apparently according to him that's the only flaw in the HD service

If they don't stop telling their employees that they are gonna get stitched up by trading standards.

Sky HD will require a completely new, HD compatible, Sky HD box, which will function in a similar way to a Sky+ box, presumably have a bigger HDD and a DVI/HDMI output, component outputs aswell as SD outputs. It will not work on anything else, including a Sky+ or Sky+ 160 box (have heard that someone one here was sold the 160 box as it is "HD compatible" )

There are pictures of the proposed new box on here (yes it is black)
