Question SkyQ or virgin V6 with qled tv

Novice Member

I'm looking at getting the Samsung q7 qled tv soon (49") and was wondering what will be the better media company to go with to view HD etc. on this tv.

I have heard sky q is good, will the box make the non HD channels look ok or do I just need to view HD and 4K content from Amazon / Netflix ?

At the moment I have a 37" panny plasma with now tv.

Many thanks

FWIW, I also own a Panasonic 37" plasma - viewing NowTV via AppleTV. - and I'm also contemplating buying the 49" Q7.

By the above, NowTV's picture quality is best described as 'filmic' - even with 150Mb VM broadband.

Recently, when on holiday, my accommodation had a Samsung KU6400. Via only a 10Mb BT Broadband connection, the integral NowTV displayed a broadcast quality video picture (far superior to that from AppleTV).

Integral Netflix and Amazon on the Q7 will be capable of 4k.

Personally, if and when I buy a Q7, I will not be buying either Sky or VM. I will, however, use its integral apps to watch Sky's offerings.
