does anyone have a complaints email address for skyone? - the bit were they now split the screen in half, BEFORE a program has properly finished is really starting to annoy me.

This is something they have been doing on US television for years. No doubt it will be the way all channels go... They are just trying to stop you from flicking channels as soon as the show has finished.

If you go interactive on Sky you can send them complaints/ideas/questions about sky one programing.

Sky 1's 2 worst crimes by far have to be :

1, Showing widescreen programmes in full screen (eg Angel)

2, Trailers for upcomming episodes giving too much away

I hate the way they put the ad breaks in the wrong places. TV screenplays are written with specific points where the ads are meant to be... but Sky One just put them in where they want them!

Yeah, but dream team is predictable anyway - footballer marries hot bird, hot bird sleeps with his team mate, he gets in fight with team mate, manager tells them to sort it out in time for the big match, team win big match anyway. The end! :smashin:

Squeezing in as much advertising as possible is how they make money, advertisers pay for airtime, and sky show the adverts the more time they show adverts the more money they get. Thats why they cut the picture in half to show you whats happening in the next episode, so they can fit another ad in.

Seem that Sats bad treatment of programs is a bit of a cancer, that spreads to terrestrial TV. Once of a day the worst you ever got was talking over the credits now, most programs squeezes the credits to sow what’s on next, and Channel 4 has adopted the Red Dot. A lot of D.O.G.S. I was looking at the end titles of The Sixth Sense and the not only were squeezed but the sides cropped so even if you could make out the writing the words where cut short e.g. ruce Will (for Bruce Willis).

Also a lot of terrestrial channels sometimes totally cut the credits on kids programs and fill the time with presenters talking a load of pap.
