Just had Sky HD installed and have it connected to my 37"PW7 until my
42" HD Panny arrives on Saturday.

I can't beleive the picture quality on the HD channels even on my SD Panny. I was expecting the picture to be slightly sharper but I am amazed at the sharpness.

Roll on Saturday until I get my new set and then I can really enjoy HD.

Did you connect with the HDMI connect? I think that is a big reason for the jump in sharpness I noticed that my SD channels were a lot sharper when I swapped to the HD box.

My current plasma only has scart and component, which I am using, but the HD channels are suberb. No real change on the SD channels but the BBCHD demo looks sublime.

Would love to know how much improvement you get when you move from PW7 to HD model. I have Sky HD on PW6 with fantastic results. How much better can the HD panel be? Is it worth the cost of the upgrade? Let us know how you get on. Good luck!!
