Thinking about replacing my digibox with sky+ digibox.
Only reasons for doing so is for the digital output and the twin tuner, not interested in the hard disc recording. Do I have to pay
the £10 a month subscription fee?
    regards,
    G.M.

    G.M,
Skyplus+ will function as a normal Digibox, if you don't activate the recording facility.
One problem you may encounter is that Skyplus+ is not easy to obtain without installation, the installer will normally insist on activating the whole hog.
Try and obtain a unit to fit yourself, or maybe buy without arranging the installation, that should work.

The second tuner only sends its output to the hard disk so it's useless without paying the extra subscription.

The optical digital output does work without the subscription.

Thanks for the replies. I've seen the sky+ digibox for sale at
Miller bros. for £280. The main feature out of the two I'm most interested in is the digital output so it looks like I don't need the subscription.
    regards,
    G.M.
