Hi all, does anybody know if or how you can connect the sky + box to a pc. I would like to copy the video files to my hard drive to back up or Edit them. What type of file does Sky+ save recordings as? At the moment the only way i can get recordingins to my pc is by saving them to my Archos av400 PVR .

If you have a TV card in the PC, you can connect that to the Sky+ box either via coax or svideo - play a recording on the Sky+ box and record it on the PC.

The files on the Sky+ HD are encrypted so you can't get them onto a PC directly.

PS, Star Trek fan by any chance :)

...or alternatively use a DVD recorder. Much more user friendly especially if your Sky+ and PC are seperated!
