I've recently moved into a flat which had sky installed (communal dish)
I brought in my old sky+ box to plug into the wall but the flat only has 1 cable running to the dish.
Another problem is very poor PQ, i believe (having spoken to the electrician that installed the dish) that when the splitter was put in, they could only get hold of a 30m range one, but the cable to my box is over 40, maybe 50m.
Anything i can do here?, can i get sum sort of super-dish that i can put in my loft?, i'm not allowed to put a dish on my flat.
Any help here would be lifesaving!

No, all dishes require an unobstructed line of site to the Sat.
