Sky+ wired up wrong?

Just had Sky+ plus installed and realised that when i record from Sky to VCR the recording ceases when the TV is turned off.
I assume therefore that Mr Sky has wired up the components differently from what was in place before his visit. Can someone tell me what he has done eg. the Sky is going via TV to VCR rather than direct?

Have a look at the back of the TV. If the scart from the Sky+ and the scart from the video both go straight into the back of the TV. That's the problem. Sky+ can do loop through. So just take the video scart out of the back of the TV and put it into scart 2 on the Sky+ box. That should sort it out.

The time on the guys logsheet was 13.10 - 13.20 ie. he was in the house ten minutes to fit up Sky+ !!!!!
