Sky+ = very poor audio

I’ve just had Sky+ installed this weekend and so far so good. Except for one fact, the audio quality is pretty bad!
I’m using the same cables as my previous digibox, which includes a good quality THOR scart cable, but the audio is quite muffled and ‘noisy’ almost a dull crackling sound in the background. Previously the audio output was fine on normal sky, but for some reason on sky+ the sound output is massively inferior

What could possibly be causing this?

If this is happening on the audio via the scart, optical, phonos and the RF then it's probably a faulty box.

i hope not!
its definitely the same on both scart sockets. will have to try one of the other outputs and see.

Reckon it's safe to say it's the SKY+ itself then and not the TV or amp you are using.
Use the warranty and make sure they replace it with a brand new box and get some credit for the loss of viewing over the last week. After all the poor audio has ruined the viewing experience.
