    Grateful for help:

I think I have it sussed, the difference between Sky + and Tivo is:

Can set a season pass on Tivo
Can change the recording quality on Tivo
A Tivo can predict programmes you may want to see
With a Tivo you will still need a Skydigital box

    Got it all?

Only checking because I have ordered Sky+ and am now begining to wonder why I haven't plumped for a Tivo.

    I certainly wouldn't spend £300 on anything I was 100% sure I wanted:)

    asimm,
Since having Skyplus+ I hardly use my Tivo, except for when three programmes are on at the same time, and so on.
Tivo seems to be quietly de-stocked everywhere now anyway. Tivo has good points which will find there way into new devices,
but the Tribune guide data is the weakness.
Skyplus+ isn't perfect but it works more to my liking.
Tivo is far superior to VHS, maybe it's right for you.
