Am I right in thinking that a film from one of the movie channels cant be dumped to video because of copyright protection:confused:

I havent tried it because I cant get in the loft to get a blank video tape (I have torn a muscle from a tendon) but my hard drive on Sky+ is filling up fast.

    cheers

If the movie was broadcast with macrovision then SKY+ will also add macrovision to any playback. Unless you have a very old VCR or some sort of image stabaliser device then the picture will be unwatchable.

Normal SKY movie channels (Not SBO/PPV) do not carry macrovision so it isn't a problem recording onto video tape either Live or playback from the hard drive.
