Well I hope they are adding more channels like Watch and SyFy channel to sweeten the blow...
Just got settled with Now TV since I changed from a PS3 app to a Chromecast 2...
      Buggers....

Is the streaming quality still shocking. I had the movie streaming a while ago and watching it on a larger 4k TV it was dreadful.

Compared to Amazon or Netflix it was shockingly bad and not worth the money to me as a result.

It's 720p and had terrible juddering when I watched through the PS3. You can get prologic out of Now Entertainment, but the Movies only decode in 2 channel so got rid of that bit after the free trial !
As I said above I use a Chromecast and this has really helped as you can force 50hz output so I have a smooth picture. Still no match for Netflix and Amazon Prime for sound and picture though. I watch on a Sony 55W905 so standard HD only.
One caveat... I bought two Chromecasts for lounge and bedroom, but could only add one each month as I had 4 devices already...

Received an email yesterdaysaying that Nat Geo Wild is now part of the line-up.

Even though I didn't watch (or need) any of the kids channels, its disappointing that the number of channels have gone down; so essentially a price rise?

Would have also though that in this day and age they would have managed to get DD or DD+ on their movie channels.

So on the whole people think its expensive, poor quality picture and the sound is sub standard.

      I'm sold.

Depends whether you can live with it to watch the likes of GOT and TWD for a few quid a month or spend a lot more for full satellite. Chromecast does make some difference to the picture IMO, but you aren't going to get near to Netflix DD+ out of it....

When Neflix and Amazon are both doing DD or better and 4K oh and HDR on top Skys offering is just plain poor.

If you shop around and look out for fairly regular deals, you can get the cost down to £3.50 p/m. Providing you watch via catchup, you get 720p, which gives a more than acceptable picture on my 40" TV. It gives, via the Sky channels, a good range of US dramas, so for me it is pretty good value. 'Horse for courses' I guess.

Don't get me wrong the content is often great and fairly good value for money but when you compare the picture quality to Netflix or Amazon its nothing better than second rate.

I've got a 55" TV and just didn't look good so I cancelled my subscription and haven't gone back.

IMO the picture quality when using NOW TV and their movie pass, is a lot better than the SD versions on Virginmedia.

I am finding the picture and streaming quality a lot better than it used to be now I have the newer style black box, it seems nice and smooth. I tried it through my PS4 but it was pretty juddery and didn't run very well at all.
