About 6 months ago I started to decorate our lounge and in the process disconnected the Sky digibox from the telephone socket. I then relocated the socket and forgot to reconnect it back to the digibox!
My Sky digibox and Sky connections have been fine and Sky have not been in touch about the phone line being disconnected, so should I re-connect it or not bother - what is the telephone connection actually for anyway?

If it's more than 12 months since you signed the BIB contract, or if you didn't sign it, then there's no contractual obligation to connect the phone line to your Sky Digibox (unless you have a "mirror" subscription for a 2nd Sky card).

That being the case, don't bother. As you don't know what it's for, you won't miss it!

There's a full explanation in the free book from satcure if you are interested. And I'm sure the phone connection has been discussed to death in this forum.
