i have been informed that i cannot fit sky+ due to the fact as we have a comunual dish on the roof of our flats the question i am asking is can i do a straight replacement of my sky box with a sky+ box so i get the benefit of the dolby surround and possible use it as a recorder(i appreciate i couldnt pause or record channels in not watching)??

I have a friend who moved somewhere with a communal dish and now uses his sky+ box as a single tuner box. He gets dolby digital and is able to record as long as he leaves the box on the channel he wishes to record otherwise it tries to record from the other tuner. If you have any particular questions, post them her and I will ask him.
